MEDIA ALERT] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DISASTER ALERT: CAUTION TO ADM COMMUNITIES ON SAWS LEVEL 2 THUNDERSTORMS ALERT

ADM HEADQUARTERS, MONDAY, 30 DECEMBER 2024

Amathole District Municipality (ADM) would like to send a Level 2 severe thunderstorms alert to all six local municipalities under its jurisdiction for 30 December 2024 from 12h00 to 23h00.
According to the South African Weather Services (SAWS) the storms may cause damage, flooding, power outages, and dangerous driving conditions. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution as wet roads may be experienced. Simultaneously, all residents are urged to remain vigilant, stay indoors, avoid metal objects and to not seek shelter under trees.
