SUBMISSION OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Amathole District Municipality (ADM) and its development agency, ASPIRE, proudly announce the timely submission of the 2024/2025 Unaudited Annual Report, Annual Performance Report and Annual Financial Statements (AFS) by the legislated deadline of 31 August 2025.

This milestone highlights ADM’s commitment to transparency, accountability and financial prudence in full compliance with Section 126(1) of the Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA) No. 56 of 2003 which mandates submission to the Auditor General (AG) within two months of the financial year’s end (30 June 2025).

These credible and comprehensive submissions reflect the combined assurance processes from ADM’s governance structures which include management, internal audit, the audit committee and council. These quality submissions provide a true account of ADM’s and ASPIRE’s performance and financial management practices. To this end, we are optimistic about the positive impact of these efforts and anticipate improved audit outcomes for the municipality and agency.

ADM further pledges full cooperation with the AG’s ongoing audit processes and commits to meet all timeframes and information requests promptly.
